 Prayer for Vets

For all who have gone over there to fight for our freedom, for those who have lost their lives while serving our country, for their loved ones, family and friends, we pray that God looks down on them. For those who are going over there, may they stay safe. For those who got hurt, we pray for their recovery. May all come home safe!

Capture your favorite leprechaun and whisk over to the Post on March 17 for a real Irish dinner—corned beef and cabbage, of course, plus shepherd’s pie, carrots, potatoes, coffee and dessert.

A Message from the Commander

Greetings! The New Year has arrived and it continues to be lively here at the Post. January and February were very busy with several successful events, particularly the two Vegas Nights and the two Breakfasts. Also, the comedy team of Ike and Spike had such a record crowd for their $3 burgers on February 2 that they’re scheduled again at the “V” on Wednesday, March 7. The menu now includes a bowl of chili.

We have a lot of things planned as we shake off the winter blues and welcome spring so please continue to share in our journey through 2012.

I know all of us have busy personal schedules and our Post calendar is filled with events sponsored by the VFW, the Ladies Auxiliary, Men’s Auxiliary, and others who use our facility. As a result we tend to put things off until the last minute. Please consider purchasing event tickets well in advance so we can avoid risking the loss of cash deposits for food and entertainment as well as the use of the hall.

As members you are WELCOME at the Post any time. We encourage you to stop by and connect with your fellow members. Because we are a private club (except when the Post is open to the public) our door is locked so you’ll need to ring the buzzer to get in. It helps to have your current dues card. Key cards are available.

March 17 / 5:00—12:00 p.m.

$15 per person

To help us with an accurate head count, we ask that you purchase dinner tickets in advance or phone in your reservation. You may also RSVP via email at vfwpost2164@yahoo.com.
